Welcome back to another episode of health hacks as I continue sharing some powerful quotes to live by that I love to be reminded of in my life. And today's quote is by Donna Barnes, nothing changes if nothing changes so often we want change in our life, and yet we keep doing the same things. Which leads me to another favorite quote, this one by Einstein, when he said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Our brain is wired to keep us in our comfort zone, because it knows that when we're in our comfort zone, we're safe, and yet, when we're in our comfort zone, nothing changes, and there's no growth. And so we have to step out of our comfort zone in order to create change, in order to learn something new and have growth. And yes, it can feel like you've got butterflies in your stomach. You can feel anxious about this, worry, concerned, that's all stuff you're making up in your head. What if it goes wrong is causing all of that? What if instead it was? What if it goes right? What if it's going to end up being better than anything I've ever experienced in my life? And that's the mindset you want to have, and that helps you step into the change, creating change, doing things differently in order to get a better result. Sometimes the results are better than what we can even imagine in the insular world we're in right now, where we're feeling stuck and in our comfort zone, and so all it takes to create change is one small action of doing something differently. Maybe it's setting the alarm and getting up earlier in the morning. Maybe it's putting your workout gear out on the foot of your bed or by your bed, so that the first thing you see in the morning when you get up is your workout gear, and you just put it on and go do your workout. Maybe it's having a journal by your bed so that you can do a gratitude journal before you go to sleep at night, so that your unconscious mind can go to sleep thinking about all of those happy thoughts. There's so many little ways that you can create change in your life. Perhaps you should be hydrating more, and so maybe it's having a favorite water bottle near you at your desk and markers on it, even you can buy them on Amazon to remind you to hydrate more through the day. Is just these small steps that lead to bigger change, as well as the shift in your mindset that I can do this. What about the possibilities? What if it's better than I ever imagined, instead of going into the place of worry and all the reasons it might not work out? What if it does take that approach? So as I said, it starts with one small shift that creates the change, and you build from there. And if you're looking to do this in a faster way with greater transformation, then you're just going to want support. That's all you're going to want, a cheerleader so that when your own mind is pulling you back into your comfort zone as it's programmed to do, you have someone else to cheer you on and keep you going.
