Welcome back to another episode of health hack as I continued talking about energy. My question for you today is, are you feeling low energy? Do you wake up feeling low energy? Do you feel low energy during the day? Do you just feel generally in a place of low energy? And wish you didn't feel that way? After all, who goes through life wanting to feel low energy? So I invite you to just do a little check in with yourself on your stress ometer on a scale of one to 10. What is your stress level? What was it yesterday? What was it last week? What was it a month ago, because if it's if you're living in a state of chronic stress, that is going to bog down your energy. And by chronic stress, I'm meaning if you are higher than a five out of 10 for your stress level, every day, that's chronic stress. And that requires that your body be producing more cortisol, more epinephrine, more adrenaline, in order for you to be able to get to safety, at which point, you are then supposed to be able to get into your rest and digest state. However, when we're chronically in that state, We're never getting to rest and digest. And of course, that negatively impacts our sleep, we're not sleeping as well. So we're not able to restore. And if you want to learn more about the connection between sleep and stress, go back and listen to the last episode number 357. And as I continue talking about stress, over into next week, I will be talking about ways that you can start to calm yourself, but you probably know some already and I just invite you this week to bring in five minutes of something that you can do for you in the middle of your day to just help your body calm. Because when you help your body calm you get out of that stress state. And your body can have a little bit of restorative time. So there is a direct connection. Being in a state of stress uses has the body and brain using so many resources that you don't have the energy left to do everything that you want to do in your day. So stay tuned, keep learning about energy ways you can increase it and ways you can mitigate stress. And this is such a big topic. I'm actually spending the entire month of January talking about energy. Thanks for joining me
