Today I want to talk to you about how your values carry a set of beliefs that shape the way we behave, how they are stored in our unconscious mind, and how we can understand them to shift our behaviours.

Welcome back to another edition of health hack. As I continue talking about the power of your unconscious mind, would you like to know why it is that sometimes you can't implement behaviors that you want to that you try, and yet you struggle? Well, here's the thing. Your values, which are high level generalizations that are stored in our unconscious mind about what's important to us, are connected to our beliefs. So for every value you have, you have a whole sequence of beliefs around that value. And around every one of those beliefs, you then have a whole sequence of behaviors. And all of this is connected and programmed in the unconscious mind. And our values are ordered by the unconscious mind as to what is most important to you, and what is less important to you. And so when I work with people, one of the steps that I take is eliciting their values around business around relationships around money around whatever it is that we're working on. And what's really interesting for people to learn is that wherever they're stuck in that particular area we're working on is generally because the values needed to move forward are either too low in the hierarchy, or non existent at all. Many times we elicit people's business values, and they're wanting to make more money. And money isn't even a value. And so we need to add that back in. And we can absolutely do that. And we order it appropriately for what is right for their unconscious mind. And as we reorder their values, that then changes their beliefs, which changes their behavior, which changes their results. And so if you're struggling in some area of your life, perhaps it's because your values aren't ordered in such a way to get you what you want.
