Welcome back to another episode of health hack as I continue talking about the benefits of hydration and today I want to talk to you about hydration and how it supports heart health. And cardiovascular disease is the top killer in North America. And so understanding the connection between hydration and heart health is important because hydration supports the cardiovascular system by maintaining blood volume, and promoting healthy blood circulation through the body, which also helps to oxygenate the body and it thereby reduces the risk of cardiovascular issues. And it's also helping to maintain optimal blood pressure, which again, contributes to overall cardiovascular health. And so, something as simple as just drinking a glass of water several times a day can make a huge difference in your health. So are you hydrating enough and is what you are drinking actual hydration. Coffee doesn't count caffeinated tea doesn't count. Alcohol doesn't count energy drinks don't count juices and milk don't count. Hydration comes from water, herbal teas, potentially smoothies that you make yourself because that's going to have a blend of water in it maybe coconut water, potentially your protein shakes etc that you have because the basis of that is water. Water is our best source of hydration and drinking it at room temperature is what allows your body to be able to absorb it more easily. So enjoy your water. Add the flavor of half half of a lime or half of a lemon so that you can enjoy it if you don't like the flavor of plain water. Happy hydrating
